We’re Building Community

If you’ve visited North Star Community Hall recently, you’ve seen the incredible facelift underway. With gatherings, dances, music lessons, special events, and live shows filling the calendar, the Hall is truly a hub of social vitality in the Old North End.

The challenge: Finish restoring the building and make it fully accessible! We’re 2/3 of the way toward being able to install a wheelchair lift, an ADA-accessible restroom, putting up the last of the new siding, and weatherizing this historic 130-year-old building.

2023 Restoration Update

What a year of restoration and growth! We restored two sides of the Hall, (the left and right), enhancing and restoring the beautiful historic and architectural features of the building while becoming energy efficient.
