What a year of restoration and growth!
We restored two sides of the Hall, (the left and right), enhancing and restoring the beautiful historic and architectural features of the building while becoming energy efficient. Dozens of community partners and volunteers provided funding and helped manage this ambitious project. We’re more than halfway to our goal. The front and back are next!
After 128 years as a social club, we chose the North Star name to better reflect the Hall’s (now) nonprofit status and mission as an arts and community center.
Music and dance classes, low-cost live music performances, community dances, discussion groups, and gatherings happen nearly every day of the week, with nearly 9,000 visits to the hall in the last year.
